Here is an action plan.

We have to map and follow every Sharmik Train that leaves from major cities.

We have to find out the route and inform people on the train that this is the route the train is going to take and any deviation should be brought to the notice of the driver and the guard on an immediate basis.

We should ask railways to tell us all the scheduled stops that the train is going to take, including water filling breaks, engine change breaks.

We should station a team of volunteers at every such station where there is a scheduled break. This should be done for every train.

At each of these stations, we should push at least 18 cases of 12 bottles each of 1 liter water.

At each of these stations we should push at least 72 packets of freshly produced food. If we can give some dry rations then that will also help. Like Biscuits, Energy Bars, Boiled Eggs.

There are generally 72 people in a coach and these trains have 15 to 18 coaches.

So this figure should be multiplied by the number of coaches.

A team should track each train from start to end using WhatsApp and communicate with at least 2 to 3 passengers per coach. There should be a relay team to keep in touch with these passengers. Divide and conquer should be the strategy.

At the start / origin of the train, the entire team that is running the train from the ground should be in one group and keep updating the journey.

Please add things that can be done other than this….

Let us fill the gap and make a plan such that those who are traveling don’t suffer. Like can fruits, milk, etc. be made available.

There should be at least 4 to 5 people assigned to each coach to load the food and water at each stop. Help should be taken from those who are traveling inside to coordinate the loading and unloading sequence such that there are no riots and that they undertake the distribution of the food and water once it is loaded.

Aim should be to load as much as possible. Instead of 1 liter bottle we can also consider putting in 20 liter jars, which can be relay emptied at the next halt and empties can be collected at the next halt where filled bottles are loaded.

Let us not leave anyone / anything to chance….Let us roll this out as soon as possible….can’t depend on this government or railways any more…..
